Jamie Pisarcik was the ex-fiance of Lyle Menendez. Jamie Pisarcik testified that Erik Menendez made a comment about Lyle’s hair piece to her.

Why is this important? 

Lyle Menendez started losing his hair at around the age of fourteen, there isn’t any reason given to why this happened but some have deduced that it could have been because of stress or because Jose Menendez would grab Lyle by the hair and drag him around.

No one knew that Lyle had a hair piece, including his brother Erik, what Erik did know was that something was done to Lyle’s hair but he didn’t know what. The reason why this is a big deal is because days leading up to the killing of the parents. Lyle and his mother Kitty Menendez had an argument and Kitty grabbed Lyle’s hair piece and ripped it off. Erik saw the whole argument happen and that’s when he found out about the hair piece and that is also when Erik admitted to his brother that the abuse from his father was still going on.

Jamie Pisarcik testified for the prosecution and stated that Erik Menendez made a comment to her in the Summer or Spring of 1989 about Lyle’s hair piece and that the reason why Erik knew about the hair piece was because her overheard a conversation his mother was having and that informed him, which means that Erik already knew about Lyle wearing a hair piece. Which makes it look like there was no inciting incident that caused Erik to reveal the abuse to Lyle.

However, Jamie says this conversation happened in the Summer or Spring of 1989 in the Beverly Hills home, but then she states that it happened some time during Spring break, which would be either March or April, but work records show she was working in April in the Princeton, New Jersey area. Jamie later changes her statement to the conversation happening in March and her work records show that there was only one weekend in March she could’ve gone to California but in that one weekend Erik wasn’t in California. She later states that conversation could have taken place in January. However, Edward Fenno, a friend of Lyle’s who was also staying at the house during the time didn’t even know that Lyle had a hair piece.

According to Teresita Baralt, the aunt of Erik and Lyle Menendez and the sister of Jose Menendez. Jose Menendez and Kitty Menendez both disliked Jamie Pisarcik because she was older than Lyle and they believed her to be a “gold digger”.

According to Robert Rand’s book, Jamie’s mother wanted to testify for Lyle’s defense, but Jamie told her mother that if she did then she would never speak to her again. Lyle still had contact with both Jamie’s mother and sisters and still had a good rapport with Jamie’s sister Molly.
